Describing India as a pioneer in the global offshoring industry, global consultancy firm KPMG’s latest IT Advisory report has identified three Indian cities among 31 emerging destinations for the IT/BPO industry. The report, titled ‘Exploring Global Frontiers- the new Emerging Destinations’,identifies Ahmedabad,Jaipur and Nagpur as potential hubs for outsourced services such as Back-office services, call centers and IT services. According to the report, existing favorite locations for shared services and outsourcing, such as Bangalore and Chennai, are getting saturated, thereby increasing the need to identify emerging cities that offer new incentive packages and talent.

Commenting on the findings,Partner-in-Charge of KPMG Sourcing Advisory services in India Viral Thakker said,“Realising the growth potential of the IT-BPO industry,Tier II cities in India have now jumped on the sourcing bandwagon and can be projected as viable destinations.”
