Amid intense efforts to persuade former Rajya Sabha Congress MP K Keshava Rao and two Lok Sabha MPs against joining the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, there were indications that the trio have postponed their decision till June 3.
Warangal MP S Rajaiah has decided not to join Rao,G Vivekananda and M Jagannada in their tryst with TRS. Sources said when TRS did not give an assurance to Rajaiah that he would be renominated from Warangal in 2014 if he joined the party,he decided to stay with the Congress.
On Saturday,Rao said he may be forced to join the TRS if the Congress high command continues to ignore the Telangana issue.
Rao and the other two MPs had earlier said they would formally join the TRS on June 2 at a public meeting at Parade Grounds. Although the TRS will go ahead with the meeting,it was not clear whether Rao and the other two MPs will attend it.
