
VADODARA, April 21: Urvashi Butalia, co-founder of Kali for Women (India’s first feminist publishing house) will be on a two-day visit to the Women Studies Research Centre of the M S University. She will be at the university from April 23.
During her visit, Butalia will be delivering a lecture at the Department of History. On April 24, she will meet the members of the University Forum for Women, to discuss the Supreme Court judgement on sexual harassment.
Butalia has been invited by the centre for a lecture-cum-discussion series titled, The Other Side of Silence: Voices from the Partition of India.’ Butalia has been active in the womens’ movement and civil liberties movement.
