NEW DELHI, JANUARY 19: The Delhi Traffic Police has imposed restrictions on traffic movements in the central parts of the city for the Republic Day parade rehearsals. The rehearsals will be held on January 20, 21 and 23 on Vijay Chowk.

Motorists going from North to South and vice-versa have been advised to avoid C’ Hexagon. The plan for the diversions is: Vehicles coming from Shanti Path, Teen Murti Marg and bound for Connaught Place and the Central Secretariat would take Kushak Road from the Teen Murti roundabout. Vehicles coming from Dhaula Kuan roundabout on SP Marg and going towards Cannaught Place and Central Secretariat will have to take Willingdon Crescent.

Vehicles coming from Africa Avenue, Vinay Marg, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Aurobindo Road and Tuglak Road will have to take a detour at Samrat Hotel roundabout on Kautilya Marg and will have to proceed via Teen Murti Marg and Kushak Road. Vehicles on Aurobindo Road, Tughlak Road and Krishna Menon Marg will have to take Sunehri Bagh Road from Krishna Menon Marg.

If you happen to be coming from Prithviraj Road, South End Road and Janpath diverted towards Q’ Point Man Singh Road and Maulana Azad Road. Vehicles from Prithviraj Road, Shahjahan Road and ‘C’ Hexagon Road would be diverted from Prithviraj Road towards South End Road, Subramanian Bharati Marg for Mathura Road.

Vehicles coming from Connaught Place via Janpath would be diverted on Ferozeshah Road for the Mandi House roundabout, Bhagwan Dass Raod and Subramanian Bharati Road. Similarly, vehicles coming from Connaught Place via Kasturba Gandhi Marg and going to south Delhi would be diverted on Ferozeshah Road for the Mandi House roundabout and Subramanian Bhahrati Marg.

Traffic on south Delhi for Karol Bagh would reach Samrat Hotel roundabout via Kamal Ataturk Marg and Panchsheel Marg. Vehicles from Shankar Road and bound for Cannaught Place and Central Secretariat would be curtailed at Mandir Marg and Shivaji Stadium. Vehicles on Shankar Road and bound for south Delhi would be diverted on Vande Mataram Marg for Simon Bolivar Marg and Panchsheel Road. Traffic on Tilak Bridge bound for India Gate and Krishi Bhawan would be stopped at Mandi House. Similarly, vehicles coming from Connaught Circus, Sansad Marg for Udyog Bhavan will be stopped at Palika Kendra.

On January 21 the traffic from Mandi House Roundabout would be diverted via Barakhamba Road.
