Skoda India on Thursday said it was working on the concept of a small car for the Indian market and other developed markets. “The small car will take three to five years to come,” Skoda India board member Thomas Kuehl said. It would be in the price range of Rs 3-5 lakh, he said. The auto major unveiled its luxury car ‘Superb’ at the Autocar Performance Show 2008. The company did not quote the price of the model as it would be launched in February 2009. Superb was launched in Europe in June. Skoda has sold about 16,000 cars in India since January this year.
