Salman Khan on Friday denied supporting Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on the issue of gag order issued against him by the police in the wake of his anti-north Indian remarks.
Salman said the whole controversy generated over this issue was “wrong” and “needless” and he was unnecessarily being dragged into it.
“I don’t know anything about politics. Raj is a very dear friend. But there is no reason why I should be dragged into this controversy,” Salman told the media on Mumbai.
The actor was ostensibly upset over media reports quoting some MNS members saying that several actors, including Salman, were among those who expressed their opposition to the gag order imposed on Thackeray on February 11.
