MUMBAI, Oct 21: The resignation of two judges of the Mumbai High Court on Diwali-eve has sparked off a debate in legal circles over the transfer policy in the superior judiciary. While some legal experts feel the resignation of Justice Jahagirdar and Justice Sakhare may have repurcussions on subordinate judges since the High Court is the administrative head of lower courts, others opine that the transfer might be seen as political pressure on the judiciary.
