Nitish Kumar gives no weight to RSS statement on Bihar

CM says neither does he become happy when somebody praises him nor nervous if someone criticises.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not give any weight today to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s recent statement that he was performing far better than his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi.

Talking to reporters,Kumar said he was not a person who became happy when somebody showered praise on him or nervous or cowered if someone criticised him.

On the comparison between him and Modi,Kumar,who has always maintained distance with RSS,said theBJP had described the report as manufactured by media.

“I am against comparing me with any single state and every state has the right to boast of its progress and development,” he added.

At an interaction with foreign correspondents,Bhagwat was asked which state governments are role models of good governance. He had reportedly said: “Bihar,Gujarat,Chhattisgarh to some extent,MP to some extent,some parts of Maharashtra,” he had responded,according to one of those present at the interaction.

Asked “Bihar first”,he said,”aisa log kahte hain (this is what people say).”
