Super skipper squeezes out another thriller

While the rest of the top order flopped around him,Sachin Tendulkar was left to wage a lone battle against his old nemesis,Shane Warne,as Mumbai stuttered towards their target of 146. And it was Warne who won the battle this time around,trapping his counterpart lbw for a 30-ball 40,and then squeezing out another unlikely win by psyching out the remaining batsmen.

When Tendulkar fell to a Warne flipper,Mumbai needed 40 off 27 deliveries. An Abhishek Nayar burst 35 off 18 balls brought the equation down to a very gettable four off the last over.

With Munaf picked to bowl the last six deliveries,Warne brought the field in. Under pressure,Dhawal Kulkarni fell leg-before,while Chetnya Nanda and Lasith Malinga were run out trying to steal singles that would have brought Harbhajan Singh on strike. Warne himself finished with 3-24.

Earlier,Rob Quiney,who has struggled to make an impact so far,ended up as the top-scorer for the Royals with a 40-ball 51,while Ravindra Jadeja contributed a 32-ball 42. Rajasthan lost the plot towards the end of the innings,scoring only 22 runs from their last five overs.
