Formula One ace Paul Di Resta has been assured that his future at Force India is safe,despite an arrest warrant being issued for the teams owner,Vijay Mallya.
The billionaire businessman could be hauled to court after a 1.2-million pound cheque to pay costs on his stricken Kingfisher Airlines,bounced.
However,F1 teams deputy principal,Robert Fernley,claimed that they are going to keep hold of drivers Di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg for next season,both of whom have been linked with moves away from the team.
We have served our options on the drivers and now they have a period of time before they come back to us. We dont expect any changes and would like it to be business as usual,because we have two brilliant drivers and would like it to continue, The Sun quoted Fernley,as saying.
Fernley added that the admin error of the cheque will be fixed soon and he fully expects Mallya to be at the Indian Grand Prix in two weeks time.
It will be resolved and I expect Vijay to be in India. Its not a big amount of money so he would have no idea a cheque would have been issued. For me,there are no issues with the team. It is just one thing that has gone wrong and I have to deal with it, he added.
