NATO forces say international and Afghan troops have killed two insurgents during a raid on a compound in eastern Afghanistan.
NATO says in a statement that the troops were searching for a local Taliban leader in eastern Wardak province when they came under fire on Saturday in Nerkh district.
They shot back,killing two militants. The troops also detained two suspected militants.
The international military coalition did not say in Sunday’s statement if the targeted Taliban leader was among those killed or captured.
