The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has asked Harmeet Singh not to take part in the ongoing Kanga League tournament until the end of the IPL fixing probe. The BCCI disciplinary committee is scheduled to meet on September 13 in New Delhi, where Ravi Sawani,BCCIs anti-corruption and security unit chief, will submit his report.
Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) joint secretary PV Shetty said that the association wants the BCCI to convey their stand on Harmeet before letting him take part in any of the MCAs tournaments.
We don’t know what BCCI’s stand is till date. We are waiting for the disciplinary committee verdict, which is expected next week. We have informed Harmeet to wait until the board clears his name. Until and unless BCCI clears him we can’t do anything, Shetty said.
A couple of weeks ago,Vidarbha too,who had initially seemed keen on recruiting Harmeet as a professional for the 2013-14 season, decided they didn’t need his services.
