World Series Hockey organisers Nimbus claim they are undeterred by talks of Hockey India attempting to revive an India-Pakistan bilateral series which could clash with their inaugural inter-city league starting February 29.
Nimbuss Chief Operating Officer,Yannick Colaco reiterated that the WSHs debut season was on track and that all India team players had extended their co-operation and would be appearing in the WSH three days after the qualifiers end on February 26. He referred to the Delhi High Courts recent order that conceded that the dates were frozen, adding that the WSH had announced its dates a few months ago. The HC clearly says that the dates dont clash with any of Team Indias commitments, and we have been speaking to sponsors, players, the Sports Minister and there is no change in plans. The courts also say that no interference will be permitted by anyone trying to play mischief.
The rival HI had hinted that India and Pakistan will play a home and away series,of five matches each, and will have a camp in March for Olympic probables. Lets not deal with conjecture or rumours right now, Colaco said, adding that everyone agreed that WSH was good for the sport.
