IAS officer chargesheeted over cricket post

The officer contested RCA elections and was elected its president on March 1,2009.

A chargesheet has been served on IAS officer Sanjay Dixit for alleged violation of service conduct rules by holding posts in Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) without required permission.

Dixit,principal secretary (Command Area Development) to the Rajasthan Government,has held posts in the Rajasthan Cricket Association without seeking permission from the Central government.

The Department of Personnel had prepared a chargesheet which was served to Dixit on Friday,the officials said.

The chief minister had also given his approval for the chargesheet some time back,they said adding Dixit had been directed to reply within 15 days.

The officer contested RCA elections and was elected its president on March 1,2009 and later became its secretary.

Home Minister Shanti Dhariwal had informed the state Assembly during the recently-concluded Monsoon session that disciplinary action would be taken against Dixit for violation of the All India Services (conduct) rules.

Dixit could not be contacted for comments.
