England striker Danny Welbeck has credited the team spirit and togetherness in the dressing room for his teams dramatic 3-2 win over Sweden in a Group D match at the Euro Cup.
Welbeck was Englands hero of the night as he struck in the 78th minute in a match, which saw them fight back from the brink of defeat to touching distance of the quarterfinals.
Im happy with the finish and the three points for the team. But we were disappointed to concede two goals straight at the start of the second half. We came back well, stuck together and our team spirit showed, The Daily Mirror quoted Welbeck,as saying.
We knew it would be better for us with the three points and that is what we aim to do. When we went behind we still had the belief there,we stuck together. The team spirit showed through, he added.
Theo Walcott inspired the comeback as he struck a glorious equalizer with a stunning 64th minute shot
Andy Carrolls first-half opener was turned around by two goals from Olof Mellberg before Walcotts heroic introduction in the game left England needing a draw on Tuesday with Ukraine to go through and also with a chance to win the group.
