Three men accused of sexually assaulting a four-year-old Indian girl on her school bus have denied the charges before the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.

According to records, the prosecution has charged the Indian nationals — the school bus driver and two supervisors —with sexually molesting the girl by touching her private parts.

Meanwhile,Dubai Police’s forensic doctor testified that the girl’s private parts could have been touched but ruled out the possibility of rape, reports the Gulf News.

The defendants’ lawyer,Samir Jaafar, who was present along with lawyer Hussain al Jazeeri, told the court that although reading the file disgusted him,the accusations against his clients were baseless.

Jaziri requested the court to grant bail to the defendants.

However, prosecutor Ahmed al Attar told the court that the men should receive the maximum punishment due to the severity of their actions.

The prosecution said the defendants, who were responsible for the school children’s safety, breached the trust placed in them.

On the day of the incident, the men called the victim’s mother and told her not to worry in case her daughter was late.

The girl was then taken to an empty parking lot where the defendants molested her.
