Dipika Pallikal continued to dazzle as India reserved a quarter-final berth in the 13th World Junior Womens Team Squash Championship by drubbing France 3-0 on Tuesday. India,who defeated Germany 3-0 on Monday,advance into the final eight from Pool B,which comprises four teams.
Pallikal set the momentum in the hosts favour by defeating Emilie Lamilango 12-10 11-6 11-7. Taking heart from Pallikals spirited show,compatriot Anaka Alankamony,who replaced Anwesha Reddy for Tuesdays encounter,survived some anxious moments before beating Julia Lecoq 7-11 7-11 11-5 11-7 11-8. Surbhi Mishra then rallied from behind to round off the tally by overcoming Cyrielle Peltier 8-11 11-4 11-3 11-4. India will now take on England,who have also qualified for the final eight,in their last group match on Wednesday to decide the group winner.
England,who beat France on Monday,quelled Germanys challenge in another Pool B match.
