Breach in upper Sindh power project; no major damage

At least six houses and standing crop spread over five hectares got damaged following a breach in the canal of Upper Sindh Hydel Power Project Phase-II in Ganderbal district on Friday,officials said.

The breach occurred at Panzin-Kijpora village,about 40 kms from here,at 4.30 AM but timely action of the district administration minimised the loss,Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Syed Iftikhar Bari told on phone.
