Bees in France have started producing coloured honey after eating M&M’s.

The cluster of insects in Ribeauville in the region of Alsace,North East France,have been bizarrely producing honey in shades of blue and green after eating the sweets,much to the dismay of their keepers.

After being told of the unusual occurrence,Philippe Meinrad,co-manager of Agrivalor – the company operating the plant – revealed the organisation tried to stop it happening straight away.

He said: “We discovered the problem at the same time they did. We quickly put in place a procedure to stop it.”
