Akshar’s 5-for sees Delhi concede 1st innings lead

Gujarat ended the day 89/4 in their second innings,with a lead of 114.

A six-wicket haul from left-arm spinner Akshar Patel helped Gujarat take a 25-run first innings lead over Delhi. Patel bowled with extreme parsimony to finish with figures of six for 55 from 45 overs.

Gujarat ended the day 89/4 in their second innings,with a lead of 114 and the possibility of all four results on Day Four.

Delhi started the day 125 behind with six wickets in hand,but lost half-centurion Manan Sharma with only 7 added to their overnight total. Mithun Manhas fell after completing his century (104,256b,13×4,2×6),leaving Delhi still 89 adrift. That they got quite close was down to Ashish Nehra,who scored 37 (86b,5×4,1×6),batting at No. 9.
