The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) rebuked President Musharraf for his deal to reopen talks with India.
‘‘We cannot call it a historic event,’’ said PML-N leader Raja Zafar Ulhaq, challenging Musharraf’s proclamation that history had been made. ‘‘Pakistan has withdrawn from its position on Kashmir without any quid pro quo,’’ he said.
The MMA dismissed the deal as ‘‘one-sided’’. ‘‘Pakistan is sidelining the UN resolution on Kashmir,’’ said MMA executive Hafiz Hussain Ahmed. —(Agencies)
