
TIRUPATHI, July 22: With a resounding 4-0 victory over Punjab, Indian Railways have made sure of their entry into the semifinals of the Nutrine sixth Women’s Hockey Federation Cup at the S V Arts College grounds here on Thursday.
Along with Railways, who have collected six points from two matches, Bihar have also moved into the last-four stage. They drubbed hosts Andhra Pradesh 6-0 (3-0) for their second win in the Pool A.
Mumbai faced some problem against Orissa (in Pool B) in the last match of the day before emerging 3-1 (1-1) winners with two late goals which guaranteed them a berth in the semis. They have seven points from two wins and one draw. The last slot in the semifinals will be decided after Friday’ match between Haryana and Orissa.
