The M S University (MSU) Board of Studies has scheduled its meetings from September 15 onwards. The newly elected body will meet for the first time to discuss issues pertaining to routine examinations, new courses and subjects in the faculties.
The varsity authorities said that such a board is appointed at every faculty level to discuss or design any advancement in the course and then forward it to the Syndicate.
Prof Ramesh Goyal, MSU Vice Chancellor (VC) said, “The Board of Studies is an academic authority comprising of the experts elected at every faculty level who then decide on the academic syllabus and its structure.”
AV Gupta, the MSU Registrar, said, “At least two experts are elected at every faculty level for the board. The present body has been elected this year. The elections are held after every three years.”
The experts will make their suggestions to the Syndicate members and accordingly a decision regarding any change in the course or design in any subject will be taken, said Gupta. The meetings in each of the faculties will begin in September and continue till November.
