The Kerala government is taking steps to place the report of the Judicial Inquiry Commission which looked into the Marad carnage that claimed nine lives on May 2, 2003 before the state Assembly within six months, the Kerala High Court was informed today. The government said this in response to a PIL seeking follow up action and publication of the report. The report was received by the government on February 20 this year. The government stated that only after placing the report before the Assembly, would it be publicised.
