PSV Eindhoven coach Guus Hiddink said Friday he will leave the club at end of the season, but wouldn’t say where he will work next. The 59-year-old Hiddink has been linked with a move to England or Russia’s national team after leading Australia at the June 9-July 9 World Cup in Germany. “I know that there are rumours flying left and right, but we’re still in the hatching stage,” he said. “The fact is there’s nothing concrete now, let alone anything signed.” PSV are on track to defend their Dutch league title, holding a nine-point lead with five games left to play. PSV face Ajax in the Dutch Cup final on May 7. “I’ve decided to stop as trainer with PSV at the end of this season, and that’s about it,” Hiddink said. “It’s been a good stretch, and at a certain moment it had to end.” (Reuters)
