Two special envoys of the Dalai Lama today left for Beijing to carry forward the process of substantive dialogue for solving Tibet problem. ‘‘His Holiness the Dalai Lama is pleased that his envoys are making another visit to China and hopes that the process will move forward to bring about substantive negotiations on tibet problem,” the Lama’s office said in a statement.

Dalai Lama had long meeting with his envoys before their third visit to China and he gave final instructions to them.

Thubten Samphel, secretary, Department of Information, said the team might visit some areas in Tibet on its 15-day visit to China. Dalai Lama’s envoys had visited China in September 2002 and in May-June 2003 but the Chinese authorities did not give green signal to the envoys for the third visit.
