NEW DELHI, May 24: Employees of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA), who have been demanding implementation of the fifth pay Commission award, will go an indefinite dharna from tomorrow to protest against the `illegal termination of service’ of their union general secretary.

IGNCA employees union general secretary K.N. Valsakumar’s services were terminated on May 22 `without notice and without showing any reason for termination’, the union said.

It alleged that members of a delegation which tried to meet academic director Kapila Vatsayan were manhandled by the police. Police also forcefully evicted the employees from the IGNCA premises.
