CALCUTTA, APRIL 1: Indian skipper Saurav Ganguly will replace injured Pakistan opener Saeed Anwar in the Asia XI squad scheduled to take on the Rest of the World XI in a day-night 50-over cricketnext.com match at Dhaka on April eight as part of the ICC Cricket Week beginning on Sunday.

The five-member selection committee comprising Ian Chappell, Tony Greig, Sunil Gavaskar, Asif Iqbal and Mike Proctor have brought in Sri Lankan pacer Chaminda Vaas in place of injured Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar in the Asian team, he said.

The World side will have Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower instead of West Indian run-machine Brian Lara, while South African pacer Nantie Hayward and English spinner Phil Tuffnel have substituted for South African Allan Donald and Kiwi spinner Daniel Vettori respectively.
