Aamir Khan ‘dedicated’ Sunday afternoon to his physical trainer, Satyajit Chaurasia, who helped him sculpt his body for Ghajini.
Flanked by bodyguards, the actor invited his media friends to the Barbarian Gym, Versova, to introduce everyone to the trainer and talk about how they worked out together for 13 months to achieve the results desired by the film director AR Murugadoss. A 10-minute video traced the body sculpting, showing the gradual changes in the actor’s body. “I hated it in the beginning but didn’t want to let my director down,” said the ever-so-perfect actor. When questions about the six-pack abs of the other two Khans were thrown at him, Aamir answered them with enough caution to not upset them. “I am not competing with anyone here and did what was required for my film,” he replied, politics well in check.
Showstopper The trainer let out how Khan’s yelps when made to do a dozen pull-ups could be heard even in the restaurant above the gym. “If Aamir bhai didn’t follow my instructions, I would simply give him a tougher exercise set. That used to drive home my point,” laughed Satyajit.
