NEW DELHI, May 6: An unbeaten 127 (13×4, 5×6) by Delhi Ranji opener Aakash Chopra and fine spell of bowling by Vijay Walia (4 for 34) enabled Sonnet beat Dena Bank by seven wickets in a A-1 division match of DDCA super league at Palam A ground here today.

In a division A-2 match, IAF, powered by an all-round display by Pankaj Maitrey and Sanjay Sirsat’s fine bowling (4 for 26) beat Young Association by 151 runs.

In a match between Lion Kanishka and Ashoka, the former made an imposing 249 for the loss of nine wickets and while replying Ashoka made light of the target to romp home winners at 252 for eight. Ashoka batsmen were up to the task and kept the run chase within easy reach.

In a low scoring affair, DelhiAudit lost to JN Golden after they made 180 for nine in their alloted overs, despite Virender Kashyap’s 70. JN Golden easily overhauled their total.

Lion Kanishkha: 249 for 9 (Anil Kumar 66, Mustafa 45, Khem Rawat 39, Ravinder Bhola 3 for 24) lost to Ashoka: 252 for 8 (Rajbir Verma 57, Vikas Katyal 51, Nitin Jagota 45, Ravinder rawat 2 for 23, Vijay Arya 2 for 38, Khem Rawat 2 for 56) by two wickets.
