14-year-old boy crushed to death

MUMBAI, May 15: A 14-year-old school boy was crushed to death in a freak mishap at Bhandup (west) on Thursday afternoon. Police said Sachin Ingale, a standard VIII student of Kasturi Vidyalaya, died on the spot when the truck (MWU 3209) ran over him opposite Khurana compound, Lake Road. The deceased was riding pillion on a bicycle ridden by Dattatraya Kotawadekar when the door of the truck, which was passing by, opened suddenly and hit them. Both of the fell off the bicycle. Sachin was caught in the rear wheel of the truck. He died instantly. Truck driver Sabhanarayan Prajapati, 40, has been arrested by the Bhandup police.
