While Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde have chosen the Sahyadri guest house to hold majority of their meetings instead of Mantralaya, the ministers from their parties, too, are finding it convenient to spend as less time as possible in Mantralaya, except on days of cabinet meetings. Many say that it may be a good idea for the CM and DCM Shinde to start holding their meetings in Mantralaya so as to signal their ministers to function from their offices and not anywhere else.

Centre In Control

As BJP has initiated the process of organisational overhaul and appointment of district presidents, a list surfaced on social media giving details of 81 newly appointed district president with their phone numbers. Taken by surprise, acting BJP president Ravindra Chavan had to issue a cautionary note, “The list of 81 district BJP presidents is fake.” While the party had officially cleared only 58 district presidents, it is now waiting to appoint others and a senior leader said, “Even for district BJP chief, we have to get Centre’s nod.”
