As polling concluded for the Karnataka Assembly elections, recording a turnout of 72.67 per cent, the exit polls showed a slight edge to the Congress over the incumbent BJP, with two pollsters predicting that the party would win majority. Meanwhile, the HD Kumaraswamy-led JD(S) is likely to get 20-odd seats, the polls showed.

👉While the BJP, buoyed by a strong campaign led by PM Narendra Modi, looks to return to power, the Congress aims for a strong comeback ahead of the 2024 Assembly polls. The results of the elections will be declared on May 13.
