I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to do so many different things — from acting and entertainment to building my own businesses, said Sunny Leone. (PR handout)
An actor, entrepreneur, mother, and host, Sunny Leone wears many hats. Ask her how she manages to juggle so many roles at once, and she smiles: “When you don’t have options, you just perform. It’s that simple.”In Delhi for the launch of her new ‘cocktail theatre’, the Ragini MMS 2 actor walked us through the menu, concept, and décor of Potions, while admitting she has “tried every item on the menu” — and has a plan to burn off those extra calories.
From her daily routine and diet to her fitness secrets and favourite destinations, Sunny opens up about it all. Read edited excerpts below:
Q. You’ve been a part of the film industry for over 15 years now. How would you sum up this journey?
Sunny Leone: It’s been absolutely amazing! I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to do so many different things — from acting and entertainment to building my own businesses. My journey has taken me in so many directions, like launching StarStruck, my cosmetic line, and venturing into hospitality with Chica Loca and now Potions. Every step has been a learning experience, and I’m grateful for how far it’s all come.
Q. You’re an actor, mother, and entrepreneur. How do you manage to wear so many hats?
Sunny Leone: Honestly, I have no choice but to wear many hats — and that’s the beauty of it! When you don’t have options, you just perform. I love being involved in everything I do, whether it’s work, my kids, or my ventures. It keeps me motivated and alive.
Q. Tell us about Potions, your latest venture with Sahil Baweja. What’s the idea behind it?
Sunny Leone: Potions is really special to me. It’s not just a bar — it’s an experience. It’s intimate, stylish, and a place where you come to feel beautiful and enjoy something different. We wanted to create a ‘cocktail theatre’, where every drink tells a story, every performance has emotion, and every guest feels part of the magic.
Q. Take us through the menu, décor, and special offerings at Potions.
Sunny Leone: The menu is built around our theme — Love & its Aftermath — which I think everyone can relate to. Each cocktail tells a story, from first love and heartbreak to those late-night texts and moving on. It’s dramatic, fun, and emotional.
The décor is just as immersive—a mix of bold, moody tones against the stunning backdrop of the Qutub Minar. It’s a place that makes you want to dress up, feel good, and enjoy the night.
Q. What made you pick Delhi over Mumbai for your ‘cocktail theatre’?
Sunny Leone:Delhi has this old-world charm and drama that fits perfectly with what Potions stands for. The backdrop of Mehrauli and the view of the Qutub Minar make it so magical. It’s intimate, lush, and has the right energy for something as theatrical as Potions.

Q. Being an actor requires you to look a certain way. What does your fitness routine entail?
Sunny Leone: My current routine includes boxing, HIIT classes, running, and eating clean. My chef makes the most amazing low-calorie meals that still taste delicious! It’s a little strict, but I feel great, I have more energy, and that’s what matters most.
Q. Are you particular about your diet? What do your daily meals look like?
Sunny Leone: I usually eat the same things most days, but recently I found a chef who makes the best salads and flavourful, healthy meals— it’s been a game-changer! For the past few years, I’ve been choosing healthier options over the “naughty” ones, but I still believe in balance. If I want to binge once in a while, I absolutely do.
Q. Did you taste everything on the Potions menu, considering your diet?
Sunny Leone: (Laughs) Yes, I’ve definitely tried the menu! You can’t open a bar and not taste everything. But that’s where all the boxing and HIIT classes come in — I balance it out. And honestly, the experience is worth every sip.
Q. What do your mornings look like? What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Sunny Leone: The first thing I do is see my children — that’s my favourite part of the day. And then I go find a good cup of coffee! That’s my morning ritual before everything else begins.
Q. What’s your favourite travel destination, and why?
Sunny Leone: It has to be either the Maldives or Dubai. The Maldives for peace and the ocean — it’s so serene and beautiful; and Dubai for the energy, the food, and the amazing vibe. Both feel like home in different ways.
