What does a chill day in Shahid Kapoor’s life look like? In conversation with Instagram, the Haider actor not only took us on a tour of his house but also shared some of his non-negotiable house rules. Playing a fun game of Two Truths and a Lie, he asked the audience to guess which one was the lie. When it comes to shoes inside the house, he said that they are fair game. “It’s because I don’t like to take my shoes off,” said Kapoor.

Detailing how a typical chill day in his life looks, Kapoor said, “I do not like to get up at 5 in the morning. I probably get up at like 8.30, chill with the kids, take the wife out for maybe a coffee or meet a few friends. Maybe I’ll catch a movie at the theatres because I like going to the theatres. Then come back, play a game of pickleball downstairs, scroll on the phone a bit, check out Instagram.”

The next house rule is that nobody messes with his music. Summing up his journey as an actor in three words, he said, ‘It’s a dream come true.”

The last house rule is that whenever people are over, the Kapoors like to feed their guests delicious food, but the catch? They have to finish it. Later, he cleared the air by saying that this rule was a lie. While he loves to host people at home and feed them lovely food, guests are not bound to finish their food, although he would love it if they did.

The interiors are peppered with artistic elements, including a striking colour-changing art piece in the dining area and uniquely designed lighting fixtures.

The couple, who previously lived in Juhu, were initially hesitant about relocating to the other side of the Sea Link. However, during the pandemic, while Mira was expecting their son Zain, they spent over 14 months designing their dream home. Architect Annkur Khosla and contractor Laxman Mistry played a pivotal role in bringing their vision to life.
