Kareena Kapoor Khan has shattered numerous stereotypes, not only in her career but also in her personal life. She has never conformed to the conventional mould, captivating audiences for over two decades. Her message to all young women is to embrace their true selves and walk a similar path of self-confidence.
“One should always learn to be comfortable in their skin and whatever they are. Everyone always advises everyone to use your head, but I always say that you should use your heart. Because, it knows so it will tell you and it will show you,” she said, in an interview with Humans of Bombay.
The actor said that when it comes to mind, you can calculate and plan things. “But I don’t plan anything. I don’t know my next move. So I feel that one should just follow their hearts, never lose faith or confidence, and everything else will follow,” Kareena added.
For her, women empowerment is being able to strike a perfect balance between her personal and professional life. “I see it as being a working mother, having two boys, choosing to do what I am happy doing which is being in front of the camera, and balancing my home because I am also a proud homemaker as well. I love being a wife, I love being a mother, and I love being an actor. So I think allowing myself to be what I want and do what I love is also empowering,” she said, adding that she loves the fact she is doing what she absolutely loves to do.
Kareena also opened up about the common stereotype that a heroine’s career ends after she gets married. “When I got married, a lot of people said my career would end and wouldn’t soar. I am happy I didn’t listen to that and did exactly what I wanted. I was lucky that Saif also kind of understood and supported me,” the actor said.
