Dr Kallahalli recommends the following fruits that may be included in your dog’s meals as part of a balanced diet:

-Apples: Apples make up for an amazing addition to your dog’s diet as they are rich in vitamin A, vitamin C and dietary fibre. “Vitamins and minerals play a crucial role in regulating basic processes in dogs’ bodies and help promote optimal natural defense.” said Dr Kallahali. Apples can also keep the dog’s teeth clean and help freshen their breath. However, it should be noted that the core of the apple is removed before eating because it can be potentially toxic.
