Dr Ravinder Singh Rao, interventional structural cardiologist, emphasised that a healthy heart rate varies based on age, fitness level, and individual health conditions. “While 60-100 beats per minute (BPM) is a general guideline for adults, athletes may have lower resting rates due to their efficient cardiovascular systems.”
