Whether it is celebrity weddings (think Parineeti Chopra or Alia Bhatt), or home decor, pastels and beiges have been ruling across the board for some time. But now? Not so much. According to Rahul Mistri, founder & principal designer at Open Atelier, the market is oversaturated with these muted colours.

Pastels and beiges lack the boldness and uniqueness that brighter colours bring, explained Devika Khosla, creative director at The Works Interiors, which might also be the reason why they’re losing their appeal.
