Nando’s is a known name for serving succulent chicken in the culinary world. And recently the restaurant chain decided to spread its wings and open yet another outlet in Connaught Place.
Nando’s does not just serve chicken, they make it. They carefully blend and marinate the chicken and cook it exactly the same way every time. Unlike Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets in India (which is more of a fast food chain) this South African chain of restaurants provides a fine dining experience to their customers.

Nando’s started India operations in 2010. They’re known for the Peri-Peri Flame Grilled Chicken and specifically for their Butterfly Chicken Breast. They’re also well-known for the various ‘levels’ of spice they offer.

The interiors of the restaurant evoke the sense of being in a world of Peri-Peri. The aroma of grilled chicken gushes into your nostrils the moment you step into the place, also because it is an open kitchen restro, and the kitchen is right in front of the doors.
The ambience is pastel yet warm, and the seating makes you feel at home. The music gives you a sunny feel of a countryside bar. To add icing to the cake, the staff is courteous and the service is good.

Vegetarians will be disappointed because there is hardly anything other than chicken. Perhaps a ray of hope for them could be some amazing vegetarian appetisers and their ‘Grilled Veg’ is reasonably good.
Nando’s special ‘Espetada Carnival’ has an ecstatic experience. The chicken is served in vertically hanged skewers.
The first bite is always the best, by the second bite you realise you have been hogging on your feast with gusto. Well that is the whole idea for a good meal right? The chicken pieces are coated by the sauce you prefer, out of four exciting choices they have – Lemon & Herb, Mild, Hot and Extra Hot. Please note when they say extra hot they are not kidding, it can set you on fire.

To put it simply, it is a paradise for meat/chicken lovers, though a little harsh on the pocket!
