New menu at The Fatty Bao
There are new small plates, ramens and desserts on Fatty Bao’s new menu. Among the highlights are a range of dim sums, including Minced Vegetables & Water Chestnut, Curried Crab Meat & Tobiko and Prawn & Garlic Chives. The baos now come with new fillings, including Five Spiced Chicken Katsu Bao and the Roast Duck Bao. And, there are new salads as well: the Seafood Salad with Pomelo, made with steamed fish, calamari and prawns, and tossed in greens and homemade chilli jam, sounds especially promising. Vegetarians who love their small plates can choose between Sichuan Dry Stir-fried Green Beans with sesame oil, dried red chilli, soy sauce and fujiko, and Caramelised Tofu and Asparagus stir fried with ginger and scallion, mushrooms, grilled scallion, garlic, crispy onions and smoked sweet corn. An interesting-sounding new dish is the Jungle Curry with Seafood (prawns and fish in a spicy and light curry with kaffir lime, lemon grass and galangal (no coconut milk)).
