Instead of resorting to junk food, we suggest you go for this delicious Pesto Salad recipe from chef at The Piano Man Dirty Apron, Delhi. It’s far healthier than your burger and fries and the cherry mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese in this salad are good enough to brighten your mood.

Just so that you know what you are eating we will tell you the health benefits too. It is known that cherry tomatoes are an excellent source of Vitamin A and Vitamin B6. They are also a rich source of antioxidants and can reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Then there is basil which contains flavonoids and anti-ageing properties. What more could you ask for? 25g – Cherry mozzarella
25g – Sundried tomato
20g – Green olive
20g – Black olives
2g – Black pepper
2g – Salt
3g – Basil
80g – Mixed lettuce
5g – Parmesan
20g – Cherry tomato
25g – Pesto

* In a grinder, add fresh basil, garlic, olive oil, salt and crushed pepper. Make a purée out of it.

* In a mixing bowl add cherry mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, green olive, black olive, mixed lettuce, parmesan, cherry tomato and mix it with the pesto sauce.

* You can add grilled chicken julienne to the salad, if you like.
