After a roaring success of the National Street Food Festival last year, the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) is back with yet another festival offering mouth-watering street foods like aaloo tikkis and golgappas to kebabs — all from the gastronomically rich quarters of Old Delhi.

Also available will be dishes from other parts of India, such as momos and noodles, dal batti and littis, dosas and bhelpuri, which have now become part of the diverse culinary landscape of Delhi. The three-day festival will host around 50 street food vendors from across Delhi, says Sangeeta Singh, Street Food Program Co-coordinator of NASVI.

After the popularity of last year’s street food festival, NASVI plans to organise similar events in Bengaluru and Mumbai by year-end. It even intends to scale up internationally with similar festivals in March in Islamabad and April in Manila.

The Delhi Street Food Festival will be held at Baba Kharak Singh Marg, opposite the multi-level parking complex at Connaught Place; February 19-21, 2016; 12 noon-10pm; entry is free.
