Seven Indian eateries take pride of place on list of world’s 100 legendary restaurants

In an exceptional recognition of India’s rich culinary heritage, seven Indian restaurants have secured a spot on the list of the top 100 legendary eateries worldwide, as per TasteAtlas, an experiential travel guide.
Kozhikode’s Paragon Restaurant grabbed the topmost rank at the 5th spot, followed by Kolkata’s Peter Cat on the 7th spot. Murthal’s Amrik Sukhdev stood at 13, followed by a big gap before Karim’s from New Delhi came to the 59th spot.
The list celebrates restaurants that are not just dining establishments but cultural landmarks reflecting the essence of their cities. The rankings consider factors such as history, public ratings, and TasteAtlas scores for their iconic dishes. “Among 23,952 traditional eateries in our database, these stand out as cultural landmarks,” the guide wrote on its website.
