It’s never too late to embark on your fitness journey because every step forward is an investment in your well-being and vitality. Regardless of age or fitness level, taking care of your body and prioritising fitness can lead to numerous benefits. Engaging in regular physical activity not only improves physical health, strength, and flexibility but also enhances mental clarity and emotional well-being. As such, Shweta Kawaatra is glad to have started her fitness journey at 40.
Taking to Instagram, the actor penned a note on how she wished she had embarked on this journey in her teens. “My workout journey started quite late in life. When I was 40. I wish I had started when I was 15 or 16,” she wrote.
Opening up about her life and priorities as a teenager, Shweta added: “Till my teens, I was into sports before the board exams and the stress sucked me in completely as it would have happened to most of us.”
Giving up sports was the end of regular workouts for her, she admitted, adding that she had no fitness role models to look up to as a young child. “And India was mostly on the mindset of losing weight all the time. If you are thin, you were considered fit (NOT TRUE)!” Shweta said.
It may be a little late, according to her, but the actor is glad to have started her fitness journey at 40. “This is the first time in seven years that I have kept the discipline of workouts during my holidays. There’s always room for change, isn’t it?”
With her dedication to fitness, she hopes to inspire her daughter, Zahra. “I am happy Manav Gohil and I can both be fitness role models for Zahra. I hope, at least, we are,” she concluded.
This is not the first time that Shweta has opened up about the importance of health and fitness. Prior to this, she had shared signs “your liver needs some love”.
“If we see the early red flag signs and give the love it’s asking for, the body has the ability to produce what it’s meant to. Awaken to your body’s wisdom. Usually, we are too busy to listen, and also that we haven’t been taught to do the same,” she wrote, sharing the symptoms.
