When it comes to her fitness regime, Alia Bhatt can be seen trying out new forms. And with a trainer like Yasmin Karachiwala, who is also behind the fit bodies of Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif, the Raazi actor makes sure that she stays on top of her game. Recently, we saw her doing a backbend exercise on the Pilates machine and we are amazed by her flexibility.

In a video shared by Karachiwala on Instagram, Bhatt was seen sitting on her knees and bending backward as much as possible while holding onto the Pilates Reformer. The post was captioned as “#FitnessGoals by @aliaabhatt coz she truly believes that #PilatesChangesLives”.

Backbend exercises help provide strength and flexibility to the upper part of the body. It helps strengthen bones and muscles, creates flexible ligaments and tendons and increases mobility. It further helps prevent back and neck pain and promotes blood flow.

Prior to this, we saw Bhatt performing squats, hover plank, knee push-ups, tricep dips and abdominal curl under Karachiwala’s guidance. These exercises have amazing benefits. While squats help burn fat and increase body and muscle strength, hover plank is an excellent way to increase core strength and boost flexibility of the posterior muscle groups.

Take a look at the video:

Meanwhile, knee push-ups increase the metabolic rate and reduce bone loss, abdominal curls help tone the abdominal muscles and tricpe dips help improve lockout strength.
