What’s your secret weapon on a date? It might be the LBD, or those heels or the one-liners that are sure to knock them out. But this woman chose to leave them all behind and decided to take a leaf out of history books to find romance.

Following a method of seduction used by European courtesans, which involved spritzing their vaginal secretions behind their ears and on their necks to attract men like flies, writer Allison Ramirez chose to go a step further.

Touting the traditional ”sticking the finger down there and dabbing the scent on your pulse points” as ”uncivilised”, the social media manager, who is in her 20s, enlisted the help of a perfume maker to concoct her ‘love potion’.

Made out of cedar, rose, civette and her vaginal secretions, Ramirez put the perfume to test by going out on dates.

Curious to know how the dates worked out? Ramirez says that on the first night, she met up with an old friend and ended up kissing him in a photo booth.

Talking to Mail Online, she said, ”Then all of a sudden, teeth! It was funny, but it also kind of hurt.” She says he replied: ”I can’t help it. It’s that scent you have.”

The social media manager jotted down this incident to the miracle of her perfume and visited a McDonald’s the next day, with the perfume on. According to her, the cashier was a little nicer to her than usual.

”He usually rings me up without speaking to me, and this time I got a smile,” she explained to Mail Online.

Ramirez conducted another experiment with her love potion on a date night and reported that the man did not do anything to indicate the perfume had worked during the date but did call her at night to ask her out again.
