Who doesn’t want to know what’s inside Deepika Padukone’s travel bag? The actor, to nobody’s surprise, travels not just in style but with a sense of readiness that reflects years of experience on the move.

True to her reputation, Padukone’s bag is a perfectly organised microcosm of her life on the go. “I always travel with literally a suitcase, okay?” Deepika tells Kamiya Jani of Curly Tales, showing her travel case. “I think it’s the girl in me that didn’t have any kind of assistance, in the sense that I started travelling when I was really young. I would travel in the middle of the night for work etc. etc. and I had to carry everything myself. And I’ve always been that person, like, if I’m stranded somewhere, I should just have everything with me.”

Her practicality stems from years of fending for herself while navigating erratic shoot schedules. She admits she packs with foresight and experience, always prepared for the unpredictable.

As Kamiya quips, “You have like so many bags inside a bag! That’s how organised she is.” Deepika agrees with a knowing grin, adding, “I always have a pair of sunglasses. There’s a hairbrush, there’s a charger—like my whole house will come out of this so I’m gonna stop doing that…”

Among the other must-haves she carries are a perfume and her signature face mist from her own label. “I have a face mist that I always carry with me. This is the Jasmine Breeze by 82° East, and you can just spray it even if you have your makeup on.”

Sunscreen also finds its place in her curated kit: “And then my sunscreen, because I reapply my sunscreen every now and then, so I carry my sunscreen.”

When Kamiya jokingly remarks that Deepika carries her “whole world inside,” the actress smiles: “That’s it, yeah.”
