Swiss watchmaker Jacob & Co, renowned for its opulent and culturally resonant designs, has unveiled two exclusive iterations of its Epic X Skeleton series in collaboration with Ethos Watches. Aptly named the Ram Janmabhoomi Editions, these timepieces pay homage to Ayodhya and Lord Ram, encapsulating artistry in a 44mm rose gold case.
With just 10 pieces per design, these watches redefine exclusivity, offering collectors a chance to own a masterpiece that blends horology with profound cultural significance.
Jacob & Co has long drawn inspiration from India’s iconic landmarks and cultural motifs. In the past, its Astronomia Art India and Epic X India Editions showcased elements like the Taj Mahal and Qutub Minar. Now, with the Ram Janmabhoomi Edition, the brand explores deeper spiritual symbolism.
Key features of the Ram Janmabhoomi editions
Both versions of the Ram Janmabhoomi Edition feature:
- Material: Crafted in a 44mm rose gold case.
- Dial Design: Skeleton bridges display engravings of Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman, and the Ram Mandir.
- Strap: Bright orange rubber strap with a hexagonal honeycomb pattern.
- Movement: Powered by the in-house JCAM02 manual-winding skeleton calibre with 48-hour power reserve and intricate decorative techniques like Clous de Paris guilloché.

Edition 1 offers a portrayal of Lord Ram with his bow and arrow, alongside a depiction of Lord Hanuman, symbolising devotion. The Ram Mandir adorns the left bridge, and the orange minute ring features the revered inscription “Jai Shri Ram.”
