One day and two very different looks — Shilpa Shetty’s week may not have started off very pleasant, what with the little slip of tongue regarding interesting choices for children’s textbooks, but Sunday saw her having quite a lot of fun playing dress up!

Purple was last week’s it colour, what with a whole host of Bollywood stars wearing different shades. Well, Shilpa Shetty continued the love with a wine-coloured tuxedo-inspired jumpsuit by Lavish Alice for her first look on Super Dancer.

Now, usually one would have search really hard to find something wrong with Shetty’s wardrobe, but this look didn’t work at all. We loved the suit on its own, with the signature strappy lapels and that lovely off-shoulder top, but it simply didn’t work on the Dhadkan actress. And the styling by Sanjana Batra was totally off the mark. The blown-out impeccably done hair was too big on Shetty’s petite frame and face, the Minerali choker – again interesting, in fact, quite stunning individually – was out of place with this ensemble, and the Asos pair of strappy sandals would have worked better in beige.

This look really left much to be desired, thankfully, the second look for the day was much better!

Shetty later changed into this absolutely pretty geometric printed dress by Dolly J, looking quite like a doll herself. The corseted bodice of the tea-length dress was styled with a sleek black belt, paired with a pair of white Christian Louboutin pumps and a cute purple butterfly ring from Jet Gems. This time Batra got the styling right, by softening the waviness and volume of her tresses.

We think she pulled off the second look with finesse, what’s your take on the two looks? Tell us in comments below.
